Hello,

I was wondering if anyone can help, every once and a while I will get multiple task bars show up on my screen and I am not sure why or what to do with this. I have pasted a similar screenshot below (not mine but it shows what I mean)

Any help would be great.

Thank you,

Adam

Hi, looks like Windows11 24H2 was not installed properly, recover your system using Windows Update:

If your Acer Nitro 5 laptop is showing multiple taskbars, especially when using multiple monitors, it's likely due to a display setting or a glitch in Windows Explorer. Here's how to troubleshoot and fix the issue:

    1. Check Taskbar Settings:
Right-click: on the taskbar and select "Taskbar settings".
Scroll down to "Multiple displays": and ensure that "Show taskbar on all displays" is toggled off. You may need to toggle it on and off to resolve a persistent issue, according to a post on Microsoft Community.
Also, ensure "Automatically hide the taskbar" is toggled off. This might be causing the taskbar to appear and disappear unexpectedly.
    2. Restart Windows Explorer:
      Open Task Manager: (Ctrl+Shift+Esc).
Find "Windows Explorer": in the list of processes.
Click "Restart". This refreshes the taskbar and can resolve many issues, according to Microsoft Community.
    3. Check Display Drivers:
Ensure your graphics drivers are up-to-date. Outdated drivers can cause display issues, including taskbar glitches.
Download the latest drivers: from your graphics card manufacturer's (Nvidia, AMD) website or the Acer website for your specific model.
    4. Consider Third-Party Display Management Software:
If you have any third-party software: that manages displays, try temporarily disabling it to see if it's interfering with the taskbar.
    5. Verify Display Settings:
Check your display settings: to ensure that the correct display is set as the primary display.
If you're using dual monitors, ensure the extension mode is set correctly. You might need to adjust the display arrangement in the display settings, according to a post on Microsoft Community.
    6. Clean Boot (Advanced):
If the issue persists, try a clean boot. This starts Windows with minimal drivers and startup programs to determine if any conflicting software is causing the problem.
    7. Check for Hardware Issues:
If the problem persists after trying software solutions, there might be a hardware issue. Consider checking for loose connections or physical damage to the screen,

Start by restarting Windows Explorer using Task Manager. Next, update graphics drivers through Device Manager, ensuring both Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 and Intel UHD Graphics are up to date. Check Taskbar Settings under Personalization, adjusting the Show taskbar on multiple displays setting if needed. Disable background apps that could interfere with the taskbar using Task Manager. Finally, perform a Clean Boot to rule out software conflicts.
