My brand new acer nitro v15 making this noise from the day before yesterday and currently i want to solve it anyhow. I went to one of my friend and he says it's probably coil whining and according to him it's not something solvable. But, it feels something very serious to me, I would really appreciate if you guys can help me.

If your V15 Nitro (whatever exact model it is?) is brand new and if its got coil wind, send your V15 to Acer Tech Support in your country and get Acer to replace the mainboard of this new V15 laptop with a new one, as this should not be happening to a new laptop, as coil wind happens in very few laptops and it only comes on after a laptop has been used for at least a few years. Send your V15 laptop back to Acer as any components like a new mainboard on these laptops are very expensive if you allow the warranty to expire and if you will need to replace a mainboard yourself. Good luck.

Hi, have you tried Best Power Efficiency mode in Windows Power & Battery settings and Silent mode in Nirto Sense?

Coiil whine is a common issue caused by vibrations in electromagnetic coils when electric current passes through them. While it can be annoying and does not impact performance. However, if the noise is excessive, here are a few things you can try:

Reducing the FPS in games can sometimes lower coil whine. Lowering graphical settings might also help.

Changing fan settings in BIOS or software may reduce the noise level. Some fan profiles make coil whine more noticeable.

Loose components can amplify the noise. Checking for any physical issues with the laptop chassis may help.

If the noise is unbearable and your laptop is brand new, you might want to check with Acer support about a possible replacement.

If your laptop fan is loud, screeching or making a grinding noise, it tends to be one of two things: Your device is overheating or something inside it—like the fan—is broken. The first issue might even result in the second. The noise might be caused by the bearing inside the fan. You could try lubricating the fan bearing with sewing machine oil (only a drop or two, not too much!). Also, you should check the fan blades so that they're not damaged in any way and that they do not touch anything.
