Aspire E5-575-521W Screen Upgrade

I saw the previous thread on an Aspire screen upgrade but that is a different version and the links are mostly dead. Therefore I ask: what are the best screens I can put in Aspire E5-575-521W? I actually like glossy over matte, but anything would be better.

2nd Question: If I remove the original hard drive with its copy of windows, can I install that in another laptop and still be able to have access to the Windows license originally installed on the Aspire? (I'm sure I would need to do some legwork like boot into some kind of recovery mode on the new machine, just wondering if I can somehow retain the license I paid for with Aspire.

Hi, Windows Oem versions installed by Acer have the product keys stored on the motherboard that won't be detected if you switch boot drives laptops, also if the laptop components are not exactly the same (same year/BIOS) it won't boot with a foreign drive, you have to reinstall Windows or try to clone the drive.

This model comes with an Intel Core i5-6200U CPU that is not compatible with Windows11, Windows10 will become obsolete after 3 months, so I recommend either to install a Linux OS and/or migrate to a new Windows11 laptop instead of replacing your screen.

If you do want a better screen download the HWINFO64 installer and open the Monitor tab, note your screen ID, part number and brand, check the EDP cable connector inside (30 or 40 pins) and visit Panelook.com, browse your panel details.
