I bought acer aspire lite 15 last march 2024 for me to use it for my school. Last february 2025 it started to auto shutdown or restart, then I let my classmate check it who is good with hardware, he cleaned the ram ang put thermal paste on the heat sink because it heats too much, he also set up the BIOS , then it got fixed, I used it for about a month now without the auto shutdown or restart. Then my laptop got updated again just 2 days ago, yesterday it started auto shutdown or restart again

You should have sent your Aspire Lite 15 ( is it the AL15-51M model?) laptop to Acer under warranty if it was turning off and restarting, as now your laptop is out of the 12 months Acer warranty and you need to fix this problem and pay for the repairs yourself. These sorts of symptoms are usually either caused by the internal chips like the laptops EC, Chipset chips that could be either faulty or need to be reset or a problem within the main power rail of the laptop.

What I suggest that you first do is do a Hard Reset, which means that you need to open the laptop and take the main battery out then press the power key for 10 seconds to get all power out of the laptop, then take the ram out and leave the laptop like that for 30 minutes so that those chips reset, then put all the components back again and if you have 2x ram modules only connect one first and alternate between the two, to see if the ram is not the problem or its not faulty.

After doing the above your laptop should not turn off or reboot and it should operate 100% and properly, if it does not then your laptop has a fault in its main power rail that a technician needs to pinpoint and fix. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

Acer Aspire Lite 15 laptop may auto-shutdown or restart due to various reasons, including overheating, power supply issues, or software problems. Overheating can be caused by poor ventilation, blocked air vents, or the need for a new thermal paste application. Power issues can stem from problems with the power adapter, battery, or unstable power supply. Software glitches, malware, or even certain applications can also trigger unexpected restarts.
