I finally got fed up with a blue screen issue I was having and decided to reset my Windows install, it's been close ti 5 hours and I'm only now at 40%, should it take this long?

This is on a week old top model Predator

Welp, returned it and waiting for a replacement, I tried to fix the crashing but it might have been a hardware issue the whole time

    Hi!

No, 5 hours is far too long, an hour would be long!

It sounds like an hardware issue (possibly the HDD). Call the place you bought it from, so they can arrange a repair or exchange.

Well it finally finished installing, I'm installing updates and will run a scan disk after, but was thinking the same thing, we'll see soon enough now

BTW it was a full restore, not a reset

All updates done, and ther Windows disk check utility found no errors, should I be good or should I use something else to check again?

    Great news!

If the BSOD returns again, this may indicate a hardware fault. Keep us informed. Other than that, yeah - you're good to go...!

Unfortunately had 2 overnight again, looks like I'll be needing a replacement, and just as I though it was all good

Lets hope, your replacement won't be too long!

    I'm glad you're almost fixed....
