I have a Iconia A10- 21 tablet. It works pretty well but my router is identifying it as a cell phone made by "Nan Jing WZX Technology".

My router (Nighthawk) does not misidentify anything else and is very secure. My router keeps insisting there is no threat, but I can't seem to determine why it's misidentifying this one device.

I have found the name on the Internet as a company in "China". But since I cannot read Mandarin or Cantonese, I don't know which China.

I simply need to know if I should ignore this or reset the tablet or walk outside and shake my fist at the sky and curse in Swedish.

Please advise, Thank you

Your Iconia A10-21 tablet is really a Smart Phone as its got a sim card and that is why its identifying itself as a Smart Phone in Devices. The Iconia A10-21 tablet has a built in Wi-Fi card that is a Nag Jing WZX that is a 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax(20/40/80MHz) type WLAN and has a BT version 5.4 feature embedded combination card. So don't be worried as your Iconia A10-21 tablet is NOT connected to any China or any spying networks 😁 as that is the name of the Wi-Fi/BT card inside the Iconia A10-21 tablet, so keep on using it as long as it connects to the network and works.

Here and for more detailed information, is your Iconia A10-21 tablet SG, so look at its specs. Good luck and hope this helps you out and assist you further.

Good afternoon, Sir and thank you so very much for your contribution and information. I was reasonably certain the router was just reacting off of some embedded code on the tablet somewhere. Your answer makes perfect sense to me and again I thank you so very much.

I looked for a service manual and obviously I did not look hard enough. I'm sure this tablet will work just fine in the coming years. I'm also looking forward to Android 15 on this tablet. Again thank you

I.mv very pleased to have helped you out to sort out that problem. But I made an exception to include your Iconia A10-21 tablet SG that is not available online and its not this tablets manual, the SG is the actual Acer service guide that is only available to ACE ranked community members, so I though that it might help you out now and for the future, as these tablets can go wrong and that SG should clarify everything for you for the future settings and repairs. Enjoy your Acer tablet.
