Hello everyone, I have a NITRO 5 AN515-57-548J laptop.
I thought—it would be cool to try replacing its standard display with an OLED one.
If anyone has done this before, please suggest a compatible display model for this laptop.

The current standard display is:
NV156FHM-N4K
15.6" LCD (FHD)
144Hz
1920×1080

Thanks in advance!

Upgrading your Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57 to an OLED display is generally not feasible due to several technical constraints.
This laptop typically uses a 15.6" Full HD (1920x1080) IPS LCD panel with a 40-pin eDP connector. OLED panels often require different connectors and power specifications, making them incompatible with the existing motherboard and display cable. Also, The system's BIOS and firmware are configured to support specific display types. Introducing an OLED panel may lead to incompatibility issues, as the system might not recognize or properly drive the new display.

The OLED panels can have different thicknesses and mounting points compared to the original LCD. This discrepancy can lead to fitting issues within the laptop's chassis.

While an OLED upgrade isn't practical, you can enhance your display experience by upgrading to a higher-quality LCD panel. The AN515-57 supports upgrades to 165Hz refresh rate panels, such as the BOE NE156QHM-NY3, provided your current setup uses a 40-pin eDP connector.

Upgrading your Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57-548J to an OLED display is difficult due to compatibility concerns with power, BIOS, and the 40-pin eDP connector. Your current display uses a 40-pin eDP connector, which is crucial when selecting a replacement. While OLED screens with a 40-pin connector exist, they may not be fully compatible with your laptop’s motherboard or power requirements.
