Hello,

I have a acer aspire A715-51G with intel core i7 1260P and a RTX 3050TI.

The laptop has a charger with 19,5 V and 6,92A with a round dc connecter.

But I can I charge the laptop over USB C with the ugreen nexode 300W?? (20V/28V with 5 A 140W PD). https://nl.ugreen.com/products/ugreen-nexode-usb-c-oplader-300w-5-poorts-gan-oplader

To answer your question - let me give you three examples.

Dell Alienware with i7 and 4070 - 330W - only power port, C port charging disabled

Lenovo Slim - Ryzen and 3050 - 130W - power port - plus allows type C port for full 130W

    Acer i7 with 4050 - 130W - power port - plus allows type C port full 130W

    ---

As you can see supporting charging over type is C is based on laptop make and model.

But the models with over 300W charger, whatever make or model, I saw them support only power port and type C charging disabled.

I can charge the laptop by usb c I have test it with a 65 W dell charger but it says slow charger. (also 20V)

I can't find if the laptop supports PD and also If it does not.

You'll find type C chargers typically up to 130W, maybe 180W (not sure), but for a 300W would be hard.

I use the slow 65W charger for I am traveling or using at a normal level (non gaming)

The Ugreen nexode is a charger with total 300W But the max for one output is 140W.

But the Question is can I charger the laptop with the ugreen.

Its not to replace the default charger. But for the convenience of not always having to grab the original.

According to the specifications in the Aspire A715-51G user manual, the USB Type-C port delivers up to 3 A at 5 V DC for PD charging.

Below you can see that this voltage and current apply to both cases (output & PD charging):

Credits and Special Thanks to @RenanVilela. 😎👍🏻

In other words, even if you use a higher-power USB-PD charger. It will be restricted to the maximum power supported by the motherboard.

Type C port will accept only the power level it is designed to accept. You can connect your 65W laptop charger to your phone too, but you'll notice it will still charge like it were connected to a wall charger not going beyond its rated max charge rate. Same applies to laptops too.

It will be able to charge using the PD charger, but the wattage will be limited to 65W. When using the PD charging, Windows will show a slow charging notification with an exclamation triangle next to the battery. Just ignore it, 65W is enough for normal usage.

Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!

Try to make a test with another USB Type-C Cable (E-Marker).

Also check that the firmware of your Aspire A715-51G is updated with the latest available version (1.55 or above):
