my Acer laptop is less than a month old it has never overheated and has never had anything done to it's bios and now when I turn it on the mode button just shows yellow and the keyboard lights are on and no telltale signs that anything is wrong like caps lock is not blinking and it just shows nothing on the screen and when I plug and unplug the charger it beeps like it should

This boot error symptom are from either the EC, Chipset of bios chips that are frozen and you need to do a Hard Reset to reset them, as afterwards the laptop will boot properly. But to do a Hard Reset you need to open the back cover of your laptop and take the main battery out and disconnect the rtc/bios battery and then short its +&- pins at the mainboard plug to reset CMOS, then take the ram out and leave the laptop like that for 30min to completely reset without any power.

    RTC/BIOS battery mainboard plug

Afterwards reconnect everything and if your laptop has 2x ram modules only connect one and alternate the ram as a faulty ram could cause this boot problem.

Note: seeing that your Nitro AN16-43-R655 model is only new, I would send this laptop to Acer Tech Support in your country and get them to fix whatever issues that the laptop board has as they will replace the board with a new one if your board is faulty. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

Hi, try an external monitor or TV if that works press the F7 or FN+F7 key. If nothing works take the laptop to Acer Services in your country or start a "Repair under warranty" ticket online with Acer Support and wait for instructions by e-mail.

I already tried that but that didn't work it seems like it's stuck 30 percent of the way when it boots because it responds to my plugging and unplugging the lapotp

I need the laptop now but if I open it the warranty will be voided and I don't have time to bring it to Acer tech support is there any way other than opening the back cover?😊

Is the laptop like confused that's why it's not posting? I'm also quite certain that resetting the CMOS will clear whatever problems it has but I can't do that as I need my laptop

Also the same day that it stopped working I noticed my clock got messed up but I didn't bother to change it back

I saw someone else have the same problem and acer said that you can open the back cover for ram upgrades but just don't remove any Acer warranty stickers but the Acer warranty stickers is literally on the back cover so it's contradicting

Some Acer tech said can open because Acer allows opening the back cover to upgrade ram but then also say cannot open if got sticker on the back cover and mine has a sticker so it's a bummer i need to open and void the warranty even though it's just a small problem that involves the CMOS battery and it's not worth sending it to technicians when I know other people have that issue and also know that I can fix it easily

So will opening the back cover void warranty

Good then open your Nitro laptop carefully by taking out all the screws first and then pry the back lid from the top where the vents are, do not use any prying tools that could scratch or mark the back lid only use your hands and fingers as the back lid will unclip and come off and then do the Hard Reset like I've instructed you above and reboot the laptop, as the laptop will boot 100%. Btw, this happened to my when new 2021 Nitro AN515-56 laptop and I did a Hard Reset and the laptop never ever had a black screen boot ever again. Good luck and hope I've helped you out, give a like or yes to your question.
