I have the exact same laptop. It came with the 32gb single ram stick, I wanted a dual channel performance and ordered one more same brand 32gb memory. That's when this issue started. After long nights of foolish inspection, I tried removing one as the last resort. And It was running flawlessly again. Turns out It supports maximum of 32gbs of ram. I should have ordered 2x 16gbs of ram and do that. 64gb is a little too much for these days I just wanted dual channel memory lol

I'd like to state one more advice here, no matter what you do, do not stick an HDMI cable to your laptop or any other device While your TV is on. Turn off, stick it and then turn on. It may arc and break components of your device, have a nice one everybody

So I actually didn’t upgrade the laptop to get 32gbs of ram when i bought it Acer had a promo to get 32gb of ram and the problem came when i hard reset it and the computer didn’t turn on so i already brought it to Acer repair centre and they said they replaced the motherboard but idk how the motherboard broke as the pc didn’t overheat before and before it stopped working the intergrated graphics didn’t work so i feel like that was the root cause and maybe because sometimes i forget to turn it off and its on standby in my bag then it gets really hot but i cool it down with a aircon and a fan but now it works already so next time i wont hard reset it

With a laptop that is under the Acer warranty their Tech Support do not fix any particular aspects of a mainboard like and if a circuitry or a chips is faulty/burnt and needs changing, like within its power rail, charging rail or a major chip like an EC and of course a gpu, cpu etc as they change the whole mainboard to the model that your Nitro AN16-43 model has automatically. So one of those parts in your mainboard was faulty with your Nitro AN16-43 and that is why Acer fitted a new mainboard.

I suggest that you monitor your laptop closely and make sure that everything works 100% before your Acer 12 months standard warranty expires, as these Nitro AN16-42 laptops parts especially a new mainboard are very expensive to replace and in allot of cases if you need to replace a board out of warranty its better to buy a new laptop. Good luck.

I have a 2 year extended warranty because I will assume I will have to bring my laptop back to Acer as motherboard replacement is more expensive than the warranty

and I don’t know why these laptops break so easily but for my laptop it may have been new old stock

Ok, that is a good idea to have an extended warranty especially with an AMD Nitro cpu, as they do give problems and do overheat also. In laptops, AMD cpu's are not as good as in desktops. Good luck anyway.
