I have an Aspire GX-281 running Windows 10. I'm getting a computer generated warning message:" Low Battery". It happens even when I am powered off. How can I eliminate this message?

Hi, this is a 2017 desktop that does not have a battery, check the model number. Update BIOS version to R01-A4 dated 2018/03/05 and or Reset this PC without losing your data.

Maybe the CMOS battery needs replacing.

    Usually a CR2032.

I don't think that it would show if you're POWERED OFF ??

To address the "Low Battery" warning on your Aspire GX-281, start by replacing the CMOS battery, which is a small round coin-shaped battery, typically a CR2032. After replacing the battery with a new one of the same type, restart your computer and Finally by visiting Acer's official support page for your model and downloading any available updates.

    The CMOS battery is #19.

The Aspire GX-281 displaying a "Low battery" warning even when powered off suggests a problem with the battery or power management system. It's possible that the battery is severely depleted, the battery sensor is malfunctioning, or there's a power draw issue even when the computer is off.
Here's a breakdown of potential causes and solutions:-

    1. Battery Health:
      Very Depleted Battery:
The battery might have completely drained, and the system is trying to display a warning even in a powered-off state, according to a post on Quora and a discussion on Reddit. Try charging the battery for an extended period, even if it seems full, to see if it can be revived.
      Worn-Out Battery:
The battery might be reaching its end of life and not holding a charge properly, according to a post on Windows 10 Forums. Consider replacing the battery.
    2. Battery Sensor Issues:
      Malfunctioning Sensor:
The battery sensor might be reading incorrect values and signaling low battery even when it's not.
      Resetting the Battery:
Some laptops have a reset button or pinhole for the battery. Pressing it for 15-30 seconds can sometimes resolve sensor issues, as explained in a YouTube video.
    3. Power Draw When Off:
      Hardware Issue:
There might be a component drawing power even when the computer is powered off. Check the power settings in Windows to ensure that the computer is fully shutting down and not entering a hibernation or sleep mode.
      Power Management Settings:
Review the power settings in Windows to ensure they are optimized for battery life and that the computer is fully powering off when not in use.
