Hello,

I have a acer aspire A715-51G with intel core i7 1260P and a RTX 3050TI.

The laptop has a charger with 19,5 V and 6,92A with a round dc connecter.

But I can I charge the laptop over USB C with the ugreen nexode 300W?? (20V/28V with 5 A 140W PD). https://nl.ugreen.com/products/ugreen-nexode-usb-c-oplader-300w-5-poorts-gan-oplader

The Acer Aspire A715-51G, especially with a high-performance CPU like the i7-1260P and a dedicated GPU like the RTX 3050Ti, typically requires a high power input that is usually delivered through the original 135W (19.5V, 6.92A) barrel charger. While your UGREEN Nexode 300W charger does support up to 140W via USB-C (20V/7A or 28V/5A depending on the device), the real question is whether your laptop supports USB-C charging at all. Most gaming or performance laptops with dedicated graphics cards do not support full charging via USB-C, or they might only trickle charge when turned off or under light use. Check if your laptop’s USB-C port has a power delivery (PD) icon or is listed in Acer's specs as supporting PD charging. If not, even a powerful charger like the UGREEN Nexode won’t be able to replace your original barrel charger.

To answer your question - let me give you three examples.

Dell Alienware with i7 and 4070 - 330W - only power port, C port charging disabled

Lenovo Slim - Ryzen and 3050 - 130W - power port - plus allows type C port for full 130W

    Acer i7 with 4050 - 130W - power port - plus allows type C port full 130W

    ---

As you can see supporting charging over type is C is based on laptop make and model.

But the models with over 300W charger, whatever make or model, I saw them support only power port and type C charging disabled.

I can charge the laptop by usb c I have test it with a 65 W dell charger but it says slow charger. (also 20V)

I can't find if the laptop supports PD and also If it does not.

You'll find type C chargers typically up to 130W, maybe 180W (not sure), but for a 300W would be hard.

I use the slow 65W charger for I am traveling or using at a normal level (non gaming)
