The issue you're experiencing with your Acer laptop is likely due to the system automatically downclocking the RAM to 5200MHz for stability. Check your BIOS settings for an option to enable XMP Extreme Memory Profile or DOCP Direct Overclock Profile. This can allow the RAM to run at its advertised speed.

We need to verify your laptop's motherboard specifications. Some systems cap RAM speeds at 5200MHz despite the RAM's capability.

what is the full model number of your laptop? PHXX-XX-XXX

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊

    I see that both Kingston and Crucial state that you can upgrade your PH16-72xx to 64GB with 2x32GB DDR5 5600MT/s Non-ECC Unbuffered SODIMM CL46 2RX8 1.1V 262-pin.
Acer official recommend only maximum of 32 GB.

Here’s what’s happening with your upgrade,
One is the CPU Memory Controller Limitation. Intel 12th/13th Gen mobile CPUs (e.g., i7-12700H, i9-13900HX) officially support only up to DDR5-5200MHz. Even if the RAM is rated higher, the CPU’s integrated memory controller (IMC) may cap the speed at 5200MHz for stability.Laptops often underclock RAM to reduce heat/power consumption.

    So, In task manager it is shown in MT/s. 2800MHz clock speed → 5600MT/s (because 2800 × 2 = 5600).
5200MHz is likely the max your system supports due to CPU/BIOS limits. You cannot force 5600MHz unless Acer releases a BIOS update with XMP support (unlikely for OEM laptops).5200MHz vs 5600MHz performance difference is negligible ~1-3% in benchmarks. It is recommended to stick with 5200MHz for stability.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊
