Acer Tablet locked after reset, previous google account needed

I bought an Acer tablet at a local thrift store (great find!) and attempted to factory reset using the "power button and volume up" method. This initally worked but when I tried to sign in it told me that I needed to sign in on an account originally used on the device. Needless to say it's not an option to find the previous owner, so how to I take their account off? Thanks!

Which tablet model did you buy? Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like xxxxx-xxx-xxxx. Do you know which OS version is installed?

If you're encountering sign-in issues on a second-hand tablet, it's likely due to Factory Reset Protection (FRP) or the previous owner's Google account still being associated with the device. To resolve this, you'll need to either have the previous owner sign in and remove their account, or if that's not possible, attempt to contact the manufacturer for assistance.
Here's a breakdown of the problem and potential solutions:
    Factory Reset Protection (FRP):
This security feature prevents a device from being reset and used by someone else without the authorization of the previous owner. If the previous owner didn't remove their Google account before selling the tablet, FRP will require you to sign in with that account to proceed.

    Previous Owner's Google Account:
The tablet may still be linked to the previous owner's Google account. You won't be able to use the tablet until you either log in with their account (if you can) or they remove their account.
    Potential Solutions:
Contact the Previous Owner: If you can reach the previous owner, ask them to sign into their Google account on the tablet and remove it from the device.
Factory Reset Protection Bypass (If Necessary):
Do NOT Attempt: Attempting to bypass FRP yourself without the previous owner's account or permission is illegal and can lead to permanent device lock-up.
Contact the Manufacturer: If you cannot reach the previous owner, try contacting the tablet's manufacturer. They may be able to provide assistance or offer a solution, though you may need to provide proof of ownership.
