You have to press the power button to turn it on. That happens in sleep mode, where when you open the lid, the laptop turns on straight to the lock screen.

Also in BIOS settings may have "Wake on Lid Open" option as well.

To enable the feature, restart your laptop and access the BIOS/UEFI menu by pressing F2 or Del during startup. Once in the menu, navigate to the Power Management section and look for an option such as Power On Lid Open. If this option is available, enable it, save the changes, and exit the BIOS. This will activate the feature if supported by your device.

If your Acer Aspire Lite 14 isn't booting, try a hard reset (unplug and hold the power button) and check the power adapter and outlet. If that doesn't work, explore safe mode, startup repair, or consider a BIOS reset, or seek professional help.
Here's a more detailed breakdown of troubleshooting steps:

    1. Basic Checks:
      Power:
Ensure the power adapter is securely plugged into both the laptop and the outlet.
Try a different outlet to rule out a faulty socket.
Check the power adapter for any damage (frayed wires, cracks, bent prongs) and replace if necessary.
Verify the laptop's power LED is lit when connected to power.
      Hard Reset:
      Turn off the laptop completely.
Disconnect all external devices (USB drives, external hard drives, etc.).
If the battery is removable, remove it as well.
Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds to drain any residual power.
Reconnect the power cable (and battery, if applicable) and try turning on the laptop again.
