PredatorSense App Missing / Not Installing on PH315-52 (Service Only Installed)

Hi all,

I’m using a Predator Helios 300 (PH315-52) running Windows 11 Home, and recently I’ve run into a frustrating issue with PredatorSense.

It was working perfectly for a long time, but suddenly the app stopped opening. I tried reinstalling it, but now only the PredatorSense Service installs — the app UI itself is missing, and there’s no desktop shortcut or .exe in the expected folder (C:\Program Files\Acer\PredatorSense). I’ve tested every version available on the official Acer support page for my model, including older ones.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

Full reinstall of PredatorSense (several versions)
Manual cleanup of all leftover folders and registry entries
Installed all chipset/MEI/ACPI drivers beforehand
Disabled Virtualization-Based Security (VBS)
Tried compatibility mode (even forced Windows 10 mode through registry)
Full Windows 11 reset and clean install

I also used HWiNFO and FanControl to check for EC/fan access, but no fan sensors or RPM values are visible — meaning third-party tools can’t control the fans either. I believe fan control is fully locked behind PredatorSense.

At this point, I'm wondering:

Is there a working version of PredatorSense for PH315-52 on Windows 11?
Has a recent Windows update or firmware change affected compatibility?
Can Acer support provide a direct working installer, or is there a known workaround?

Download and install the latest version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable, specifically versions 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022. You need to install both x86 and x64 version. This is necessary for the NitroSense application to function properly. You can find it on the Microsoft website here.

If this still doesn't work, try downloading and installing the Microsoft Visual C++ All-in-One pack. If nitrosense need a specific version not available above then this will help, use the link I provided to download and install the latest Visual C++ All-in-One pack:

Try this;

1) Download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Update 3 RC

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=52685

(You need to install both x86 and x64 version)

2) Open task manager then find and make you end all Predatorsense or Nitrosense process from processes tab

3) Open CMD as administrator and run below command 2-3times:

lodctr /R

4) Run 'appxbundle' type file in directory where you downloaded NitroSense. Like you did previously.

5) Try to open now

Hey, thanks, that actually helped me access the folder!

Now I can see PredatorSense, and when I double-click it, the app starts loading (I can see it briefly in Task Manager), but then it disappears without opening any window. There's no error message or crash popup — it just vanishes after a few seconds.

Any ideas on what might be causing this?

First open task manager then end all Predator sense process that you find.
Open CMD as administrator and run below command 2-3times:

lodctr /R

3. Now, again after above command in cmd as admin, type in the following and press enter (without the quotation marks): ".\lodctr.exe /R"

4. Restart and check

Hey, thanks again for all your help — I really appreciate it. I have tried all the suggestions, but the problem is still happening. That UI just won't pop up. I've contacted Acer Support and am hoping they can help resolve it from their end. I'll post an update if I get a working fix!
