I have just bought an Acer CB272UEbiiprx Quad 27" LED Monitor, but I cannot get the speakers to work.

I look forward to hearing from you with your advice.

To play audio through a monitor with built-in speakers, ensure your computer's audio output is set to the monitor's speakers, typically via HDMI or DisplayPort, and adjust the volume through the monitor's or Windows' settings.

Thank you for your help Sharanji, but sadly it hasn't helped.

My system shows Realtek High Definition Audio only

I doubt if there is an internal speaker on this model.

    Examine the Audio Ports:
If the monitor has an audio-in port (often a 3.5mm jack), it likely has built-in speakers.
If the monitor only has an audio-out port, it's designed to output audio to external speakers, not to have speakers of its own
Inspect the front or sides of the monitor for any mesh-covered circular or oval openings, which could indicate the presence of speakers.

    Check the Windows Sound Settings:
If you're using Windows and have connected your monitor via HDMI or DisplayPort, you can check the sound settings to see if the monitor is listed as a playback device.
Right-click the speaker icon in the system tray, select "Playback devices," and see if your monitor is listed.

I have a grill on each side of the monitor, plus, in the specifications, it states that it has two speakers.

By right-clicking on the sound icon, all it shows is the Realtek High Definition Audio.

The reason I chose this one was for the internal speakers as well as spec of the monitor.

If that is the case, then I will be complaining to Acer as every bit of detail that I have seen has said that it does have speakers.

As said previously, if I had known, I would not have bought this model.

OK, that shows there are speakers installed. There are a few steps to take to figure out what's going on. Are you on a Windows PC or some other device? For Windows you might have to change the default audio output to HDMI or DP, depending on how you have the monitor connected. You might also need to go into the an screen display menu on the monitor and set the volume to it's maximum. If both of those are selected then you should get sound, with volume control in Windows.

    Thank you for your response.

I had a computer engineer out today and he could not get it working. He said the only way that he could see, was to purchase a 3.5m jack to jack lead and connect it that way.

I can't say that I am happy with this as I feel cheated and hard done by.

If I have to buy a lead to get the speakers working, then the lead should have been included with the monitor. I am NOT Happy.

Thanks for your time and effort. You typically don't need to connect a separate audio-in cable to your monitor if you're using an HDMI connection, as HDMI carries both audio and video signals.
If your computer only has DVI or VGA outputs you might need to connect the audio signal separately using a 3.5mm audio cable from your computer's audio output to the monitor's audio input. The VGA ports are less common on modern devices.

As per specification details I see that your monitor has a HDMI® Version 1.4 port, DisplayPort and a VGA port.
