Decided to reconnect the Vero mouse I havent used in a while (originally bought it with my Acer laptop 2 years ago), but can't get it to recognise it. Where can I get uptodate drivers etc? ANyone else had trouble, is it better to give up and just get a new one which goes against the whole idea of trying to reduce tech waste.

Hi, replace the mouse battery and it should work OK. You can check this manual how to connect to BT.7090616.pdf

If your Vero Mouse MCE 011 is no longer recognized by your Acer laptop, try these troubleshooting steps: check for function key combinations (like FN + F6 or F7) that might disable/enable the touchpad, ensure the mouse is properly connected, and check device manager for any issues with the mouse or touchpad drivers.
    Here's a more detailed breakdown:-

    1. Check for Function Key Combinations:
Some Acer laptops have function keys (F1-F12) that can toggle the touchpad on or off. Look for a key combination (usually involving the "Fn" key) that might be disabling the touchpad.
      Common combinations include FN + F6, FN + F7, or FN + F9.
If the touchpad is disabled, try pressing the appropriate function key combination to re-enable it.
    2. Ensure Proper Connection:
For a wired mouse: Make sure the mouse cable is securely plugged into the laptop's USB port.
      For a wireless mouse:
Ensure the mouse is turned on and the receiver is plugged into the laptop.
Check the batteries in the mouse to ensure they are not depleted.
Make sure the wireless receiver is plugged into a USB port that is working correctly.
If the mouse is not recognized, try restarting both the laptop and the mouse.
    3. Check Device Manager:
Open Device Manager (search for it in the Windows search bar).
Expand "Mice and other pointing devices" and look for any devices with a yellow exclamation mark or any other error symbols.
If you find such devices, try uninstalling the driver and then restarting your computer. Windows will automatically attempt to reinstall the drivers.
If the problem persists, you can also try updating the drivers for the mouse and touchpad.
    4. Other Troubleshooting Steps:
Run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter:
Search for "Troubleshooting" in the Windows search bar and open it.
Click on "View All" and then select "Hardware and Devices".
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.
