After updating the BIOS from version 1.09 to version 1.10, the fan began making a lot of noise. The noise started during the installation process and has not stopped since then. It is very annoying and makes it impossible to use the laptop. Can you please tell me what I should do?

Go to BIOS screen, to enter BIOS on an Acer laptop, you can press F2 while the computer is starting up. Press F9 button to set to default settings, press F10 button to save and exit, that should fix the problem.

You can also use HWiNFO64 to monitor fan speed, simply run the software, and it will automatically detect and display fan speed readings from your system's sensors. If you don't have it already, download and install the HWiNFO64 software from the official website.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊

I performed a reset to the default settings in the BIOS, nothing has changed.

I have installed the application, but the fan speed cannot be adjusted there.

There are two modes for your model, Normal and Silent. You likely switch between them using Acer Sense, but it might be Care Center or QuickPanel that does it. Make sure they are all still installed then try Silent mode. It will run the laptop a little hotter, but with less noise. Here are the original fan tables:

As you see there isn't a lot of difference until the CPU temp gets up into the 60C range, where the Normal mode keeps on setting the fan higher, Silent mode leaves it at a medium speed.
