My Laptop is Predator Helios Neo 16 PHN16-72

Disabling Intel RST feature on BIOS even the driver are installed causes Windows 11 into BSOD, I assumed that Intel RST causes my second NVMe which is D: (Teamgroup T-Force G50) bugged (often undetectable and rarely detectable even causes Disk Management not responding) when connected into second NVMe slot inside (but when connect externally, the NVMe works normally).

According to one of Acer service center's technician in Bali, he said to me that Intel RST is some kind of important feature for my laptop. Using list of NVMe from Acer still detectable. He also said that some NVMe brand didn't works. So far, the technician said to me that Samsung and WD are recommended brand for Predator Helios Neo 16 PHN16-72 (Lexar are unconfirmed but Lexar NVMe are detectable in BIOS and Disk Management).

My Question is

  • Is it recommended to enable Intel RST feature or else?
  • Is it possible to disable Intel RST feature without causing BSOD (Inaccessible Boot Device)?
  • Is Samsung and WD's NVMe such as 990 Pro, 990 Evo Plus, Blaxk 850X are Intel RST-Ready?

Where is the bios > Intel RST setting in the PHN16-72 bios? As there is NO such setting in the bios, The Intel RST driver is a driver to enable detection of the M.2 SSD drives at and when a clean Win-11 installation is done. All the M.2 SSD drives like the Samsung 990 Pro, 990 Evo Plus, WD Black 850X are Intel RST ready and work with the PHN16-72 laptop 100% and perfectly.

I'm using the 1TB Samsung 990 Pro + Heatsink in my PHN6-71 which is the exact and similar laptop to the PHN16-72 and I've got NO Intel RST setting in the bios and my Samsung 990 Pro + Heatsink works 100% and perfectly, I've also update my PHN16-71 laptop to 64GB @ 2x 32GB DDR5-4800MT/s CL40 type Crucial ram which is a Micron ram and that also works perfectly and with out any issues. So good liuck and hope this helps you out.

This is my 1TB Samsung 990 Pro + Heatsink in the PHN16-71 laptop

Ctrl + S it's hidden on BIOS menu.

So far only 3 NVMe (beside of Acer's list) that possibly Intel RST ready but Lexar NM790 is unsure despite detected on BIOS and Disk management. My Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 is currently 16GB RAM but i still waiting and saving for 32GB RAM and 2TB/4TB NVMe.

Yes, I know the keys of CTRL + S that opens TBT Detection Gain, but where is the Intel RST? As its NOT in the BIOS > Advanced section, the below captions are from the Acer service guide bios for the PHN16-72 laptop. If you have a different bios on your PHN16-72 take some captions and post it on the next post. Thanks

I mean Intel VMD, Go to Bios → Advanced → Main then press Ctrl + S, you can see Intel VMD settings. Intel VMD Controller which is a part of Intel RST.

In My Laptop, Disable Intel VMD causes BSOD Inaccessible Boot Device as Intel RST installed on Windows so Intel VMD should be enabled
