If you replaced the battery on an Acer Chromebook C722 and the battery icon is missing, even when plugged in, but appears when you connect the old battery, it likely indicates a problem with the new battery not being properly recognized by the system, potentially due to a faulty connection or a mismatch in battery specifications.

Double-check that the new battery is the correct model and specification for your Acer Chromebook C722.

You can try to hard reset an Acer Chromebook, you can try pressing and holding the Refresh button and then tapping Power. You can also try pressing and holding Back + Refresh + Power for at least 10 seconds.

If a hard reset doesn't fix the problem, you could go to a powerwash which is setting everything back to factory settings. Locate the reset settings: Under the “Reset settings” section, click on “Powerwash” to start the reset process. Confirm the Powerwash: A dialog box will appear warning you that the Powerwash will delete all local data from your Chromebook. Click “Restart” to confirm and begin the Powerwash.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊

Please plugin and charge continuously for 2 to 3 hours to check if the battery is charging.

If an icon isn't showing on your Chromebook, it could be because the feature associated with that icon is not enabled in your settings, the icon might be hidden in the settings menu,

Click on the Status Bar located in the bottom right corner of the screen, and then select [Settings] . Click on About ChromeOS, and then click on Diagnostics. Under the battery category, you will find information about the battery's health if detected.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊

Replacing the battery is a hardware change, and the Chrome OS might need to be "re-calibrated" to recognize the new battery and its parameters. A reset can help ensure the Chromebook's power management and battery settings are optimized for the new battery, potentially leading to better battery life and performance.
Also, if you encounter issues with the new battery, such as the not charging or not recognizing the battery, a reset can often resolve these problems.

These are the compatible battery listed by Acer for your Chromebook.
