Spin 714 fan - does it always run so much?

I have had the Acer Chromebook Plus Spin 714 for a week now and the fan runs constantly when I'm using it. I just have Reddit open on 1 tab for example, right now, and it's running. I came from an amazing Pixelbook that finally died on me and it didn't have a fan at all, so this is rather annoying.

Is this normal for it be on so much?

Is your Spin 714 the model CP714-1HN as that is one of the newest models, anyway, if the fans are spinning all the time make sure that your Spin 714 is up to date with its Chrome OS updates so that its not a n operating system issue.

Also check that the latop o=is operating to the below Thermal Table (temp0_SOC (TSR0)) temps, as that is how the laptop protects your laptop from overheating, if these temps are what your laptop runs at then its normal, if the temps are above the below table, then send the laptop to Acer Tech Support in your country. Good luck.

Yes, it's important to know which model you have. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like CP714-xxx-xxxx. There currently have been at least five different base models and numerous variations on those. The latest is not the -1HN version, since there are some -2xx versions out as well.
