Acer Monitor EI322QUR stuck at 60Hz, why can't I get my 165Hz display to work?

So I got this monitor last year (date unsure of), and it came packaged with 165hz. But then a few weeks ago, I noticed that it was set to 60hz and it can't go up any further. I've tried numerous settings and I have no idea what is causing it.

If anyone can get back to me, please do.

What computer are you using with the the EI322QUR monitor, as the max refresher rate depends on what your computer gpu can work at, it does not depend on the monitor. Let us know, so we can guide you further.

An older or low-quality HDMI cable might not support the full bandwidth required for 165Hz. Consider upgrading to a high-speed HDMI cable or, ideally, a DisplayPort cable, which generally offers better bandwidth for higher refresh rates.

There have been several versions of the EI322QUR series over the years. As suggested, first look to make sure your video card hand handle the higher refresh rates, then verify that your specific model support those refreshes on the port type you are using. A lot of models support the high refreshes on the DP port but do not on the HDMI.

Im using an Asus ROG PC with an Nvidia 3060. I have it connected to the DP so it should work. But after that I have a 4k monitor (didn't know this until Nvidia Panel gave me the option for 4k res), I think that's why I only have 60 and not 165.

Also when viewing the possible modes for my monitor, it only 4k 60hz, while the packaged resolution was showing 2k 165hz.

I've been using a DP all this time, but I'm pretty sure I found out why after doing some research.

    Was because I have a 4k monitor.

The sticker on the back usually has the full model number, something like EI322QUR Pbmiippx, where all those letters at the end define not only which revision of the base model it is, but which options are installed.
