Predator PHN16-72-Is my CPU overheating? in Balanced mode, fan mode is auto, my room temp. is 27°C?

I've just bought a Predator PHN16-72 using i9-14900HX and RTX 4060 for a week.

When i use it in Balanced mode, fan mode is auto, my room temp is about 27 Celsius degrees, the CPU temp is about 5x Celsius degree with 4 tabs in Opera GX and Spotify.

I kept Opera GX opening and Spotify playing music and open Genshin Impact to play, the CPU temp increased to 90-91 Celsius degree… I was surprised and change the fan mode to max and the CPU temp decreased quickly to 7x then staying at 65-70 degree.

Are there any problems with my heat sink?

How to Check CPU Temperature:

Use Monitoring Software:
- Download HWMonitor, MSI Afterburner, HWInfo, or ThrottleStop to check real-time temperatures.
- You can also use Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) > Performance > CPU, but it won’t show detailed temps.
Compare with Safe Temperature Ranges:
- Idle (No heavy apps running): 40-55°C → Normal
- Moderate use (browsing, watching videos, light tasks): 55-75°C → Acceptable
- Gaming / Heavy workloads (AAA games, video editing, rendering): 75-90°C → High, but expected
- Above 95°C consistently? Possible overheating!

Troubleshooting High Temps:

Check Fan Speed & Profile:
- Open PredatorSense and set the fan mode to Max (instead of Auto) to see if it helps.
- Try Custom Mode and manually increase fan speeds.
Elevate the Laptop & Improve Airflow:
- Place the laptop on a cooling pad or raise the back slightly.
- Ensure vents are not blocked.
Repasting & Cleaning (if persistently high temps):
- If your laptop is over a year old, thermal paste might be degraded.
- Dust buildup can clog the heatsinks—clean with compressed air.
Limit Performance in Balanced Mode:
- In Windows Power Settings, reduce Maximum Processor State (e.g., 99% instead of 100%) to prevent Turbo Boost.
