Aspire5-A514-54-74D6-Wireless Network Adapter,Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A. Loosing wireless connection

My Aspire 5 Model A514-54-74D6 needs a new network adapter. It's a Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A. Loosing wireless connection constantly, tried everything else.

No luck with searches or Acer website.

Can anyone help?

Update or Reinstall the Driver:: To update or reinstall the driver, start by opening Device Manager. Next, expand the Network adapters section, right-click on your Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A adapter, and select Uninstall device. After uninstalling, restart your laptop, and Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.

Network Troubleshooter: To run the Network Troubleshooter, navigate to Settings, then Update & Security, and select Troubleshoot. From there, go to Additional troubleshooters, select Internet Connections, and run the troubleshooter.

Power Management Settings: After restoring the wifi adapter, adjust the power management settings for your Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A adapter, open Device Manager and right-click on your Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A adapter, then select Properties. Navigate to the Power Management tab and uncheck the box that says Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

I have tried all of your above suggestions. At first the wifi connection was intermittent so I was able to update driver, except that I was informed that all my drivers were up to date. Acer support is useless for out-of-warranty.

This Acer has been a piece of junk after ordering it on 3/2023. Arrived with non operational fingerprint recognition, returned and arrived back with still non functioning fingerprint feature. Returned again with replaced fingerprint adapter - was still iffy and sporadic. I no longer use fingerprint. I will never buy another Acer and have already convinced 2 friends to not buy Acer products. That's why I'm trying to buy a new wifi adapter as I think this one is toast. Hence the original question that no one seems to have read.

You may try to reset windows and If the problem persists, it might be necessary to replace the network adapter. The Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A is a common adapter, but you can also consider compatible alternatives.
