Using the same PC since I started playing HD2 and it was great until it just stopped working a couple months ago. I keep trying to go back but it's so painfully slow and glitchy that I am unable to do anything. What changed? How can I fix it? I also checked the game requirements, and it sounds like my PC should be able to support it (especially since it worked fine up until Dec).

Here's what I'm running:
Preditor Helios 300 PH315-53
intel core i7 10750H CPU @ 2.60ghz
32 gb RAM
Nvidia Geforce rtx 3060 laptop GPU
5996 mb VRAM
772 gb free space
windows 11 24H2 version

I'm lost so any help would be much appreciated!

Have you changed the battery on your PH315-53 laptops yet? As this being a 5years old laptop a depleted battery could affect the power supply to the laptop, so try that fist.

Acer fitted batteries to the PH315-53

Afterwards, make sure that bios version 2.04 is installed and the last firmware v101a that Acer has for this laptop, as the bios and firmware have allot of updates for the vbios and vram of the RTX3060 gpu which could be your problem too. Also make sure that you are using a quick PCIe3x4 M.2 SSD drive like a Samsung 970 EVO Plus for best gaming performance'.

Then reinstall Win-11 24H2 and do all the windows updates to OS build: 26100.3037 and make sure that you play all games through the NVidia GeForce Experience software. Doing the above will ensure that your 10th Gen Intel cpu laptop PH315-53 will perform at its peak performance. If not then you have either faulty ram, faulty M.2 drive. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

@StevenGen Thanks for the feedback, I have not tried that yet. Do I still need to change the battery if I'm plugged into the wall? Power doesnt seem to be an issue. I will make the changes you suggested and report back soon.

An old battery does deplete power delivery to the laptop and puts an unnecessary strain on the laptop if its plugged in 24/7 with its performance, try all the fixes I've recommended with out changing the battery first and see how your laptops performance improves, and let us know. Good luck.
