The Nitro N50-600 was fitted with the Intel Socker LGA1151 type i5-9600K cpu as its top performing cpu, I'm not sure if the i9-9700K is compatible or the i9-9900K is also compatible? Maybe a community member can help you out if you want to go to the upper levels of the 9th Gen cpu’s.

As the restrictions with upgrading cpu’s in these desktops depends on what Acer has programmed the bios cpu microcode to work with this desktops Intel B360 chipset mainboard, as not all the high end like a i9-9700K 9th Gen cpu is programmed for the N50-600 LGA1151 socket Intel B360 chipset board to work with. And with the gpu's its the 500W fitted PSU of your desktop that restricts the upgrade.

But you should definitely upgrade your low spec i3-8100 cpu to the highest i9-9600K cpu as you will get allot better performance and also you should upgrade to a dedicated gpu and 64GB total ram like Acer lists below for this desktop.

So what I suggest is that you definitely upgrade to the i5-9600K cpu and to the N50-600 last bios version dated: 2020/07/17R01-and version R01-D1, also upgrade to Win-11 24H2 version and all update to OS build 26100.3037 and to the Acer fitted NVidia RTX2070 8GB gpu and to this desktops either 32GB 2x 16Gb DDR4-2666MT/s ram or its max ram of 64Gb @ 2x 32Gb DDR4-2666MT/s type ram.

Also I would strongly suggest that you consider upgrading to the newer and current Nitro desktops with the Win-11 OS and a model like the N70-130 which is a better gaming desktop with an AMD RYZEN9 7900 cpu, AMD B650 Chipset bord and DDR5 5200MHZ and 64GB max 288-pin DDR5 DIMM ram or the N50-656 with the i7-14700 cpu /max 64Gb DDR5.4800MT/s and up to an RTX 4060.8GB gpu.

Good luck and hope this helps you out for an appropriate upgrade as anything below this is not worth doing as an upgrade to your old desktop.

Acer fitted CPUs for the N50-600 desktop

GPUs fitted to the N50-600 desktop

Ram specs and modules to upgrad eto

Fit either 2x 16GB DDR4-266MT's type ram below or if you want 64GB have a look at the Crucial suggested ram upgrade kits that they sell.
