Aspire TC-1785tested with another KB and it works fine but original keyboard does not work properly

I have a new Acer Aspire TC-1785 (Windows 11) that came supplied with an Acer bluetooth keyboard and mouse. The keyboard does not work properly. There is frequently a delay between pressing a key and it registering on the screen. When the character appears on the screen, it is frequently repeated even though the key was pressed once only. I have tried playing with the settings in the accessibility section, but cannot solve this. The problem is intermittent and varies in intensity. I gave up on it and connected the 9 year old bluetooth keyboard and mouse that came with my old Acer Aspire, which works perfectly, but I am annoyed that I cannot use the new one and want to solve the problem.

    Maybe bad/weak batteries ???

The bluetooth and wifi are connected to the second M.2 slot on the motherboard. In the middle of a metal box that is. Faraday cage effect.

    Then you add:

    Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
Sniff Mode / Low Power Mode
    Adaptive Frequency Hopping (AFH)
    (to avoid interference from wifi)

Then you can add some other default power saving options as well.

Older pre 4.0 bluetooth have none of these "features", so your 9 year old bluetooth keyboard and mouse will work just fine.

Another possible reason can of course be a keyboard fault. :-)

Possibly the driver needs to be updated ???

Windows update will automatically install the correct drivers for the device and keep them updated.
