Has anyone changed thermal pads and remembers how thick they were? I'm planning to replace thermal paste and pads and thickest I have is 1.5mm.
I don't wanna open my GPU and then realize I don't have correct size pads 😒
Acer does not specify the thickness and/or what type of thermal pads the NVidia RTX3070 gpu (or if you meant the RTX2070?) as the RTX3070 gpu was never fitted as an oem option gpu in the PO3-620 desktops by Acer with this desktops 500W PSU, as it will not have enough power as it requires a min 650W PSU, also and as this product is an NVidia product, you will have to consult NVidia for these details to get the exact information and exact specs of the thermal pads.
But what I recommend that you do is this, use the high quality Thermal Grizzly Minus Pad Extreme which come in two sizes of 120x20mm and 100x100mm @ thicknesses of 0.5.1.0.1.5,2.0 and 3.0mm. But you will first need to take the RTX3070 (or if you meant the RTX2070?) gpu apart and measure the thermal pad thickness approximate size and thickness first and order the appropriate pads from Thermal Grizzly or a supplier, as there is no information on the gpu pads. The below gpu list are the oem Acer fitted gpu's to the Predator Orion 3000 PO3-620 model and the NVidia RTX2070 SUPER 8GB GDDR6 was the highest spec gpu.

Yes, Acer sources these as full assemblies, so doesn't stock or list parts for them.
P03-620 indeed did come with 3070.
Maybe it's a localization thing?
For example here is discussion about 3070 that was in P03-620.

Don't see Acer mentioned anywhere, and after updating NVIDIA drivers, my Predator PO3-620 shows the following in NVIDIA control panel:
So the question, are we getting Resizable BAR support?
Article suggests that it would require enabling the setting in BIOS (no such setting available atm) and/or VBIOS upgrade to the GPU.
One point… It's PO as in Predator Orion, not P0 as in Predator Zero. 😁 If you ever try a search here on P03-620 you will get no hits. Always use the PO3-620 model number instead. The SG shows what initially shipped with the various flavors, and often isn't updated to show what ended up shipping with the later units. So a 3070 is perfectly possible on these. As I said before though, Acer sourced the GPUs are fully assembled cards, so don't stock or call out individual parts on them. We have no way of knowing what thickness of thermal pad they used.
That pre built must have been a special build for TechPowerUp to test the PO3-620 with a RTX3070 and Acer must have upgraded the PSU to a 750W type, as its impossible that the PO3-620 came fitted from Acer with the RTX3070 and a 500W proprietary PSU for the PO3-620 mobo that has an ATX1 - 6-Pin ATX power connector and an ATX2 - 4-Pin ATX power connector, as Acer do fit a 750W PSUs but they only started fitting this 750W PSU to the PO3-650 which was a later model.
Highlighted below is the PO3-650 first released on the 10-20-2022 and it had an Acer proprietary 750W PSU with the same ATX1 - 6-Pin ATX power connector and ATX2 - 4-Pin ATX power connector, which is the only PSU that will work with the RTX3070 gpu on your PO3-620 mobo that was released on the 04-28-2020 and last models were built at around 08-25-2021, unless your PO3-620 was upgraded later on with the 750W PSU and the RTX3070 gpu its impossible that your PO3-620 came fitted from Acer with the RTX3070 gpu and the 500W PSU, as the 500W PSU hasn't got enough power to power the desktop and the RTX3070 gpu adequately and Acer would not sell a desktop that is so blatantly out of spec and unreliable. The PO3-620 had a 500W PSU (ATX12VO design) and they shipped many different versions. They have shipped lots of PO3 models with a 500W PSU and a 3070, so if the timing were right I wouldn't be surprised if they did a a PO3-620 with 3070 toward the end of that model year. They certainly shipped plenty of PO3-630s with the 3070 installed and a 500W supply… Remember, the PO3-620 was released in 2021 and the 3070 in 2020.
The RTX3070 that Acer fitted to the PO3 -620 must be a special model that can operate at a lower wattage of a 500W PSU for Acer than the NVidia full models RTX3070 8GB recommended at a min 650W PSU
According to NVIDIA, the minimum RTX 3070 power requirements start at 650W, with the GPU itself taking on 220W of that power. Whilst a PSU with this wattage will be sufficient for your PC build.
That is why the special Acer listed PO3-630 desktop has the "VGA CARD NVIDIA RTX 3070 GDDRVI 8GB ATX PCI-EX16 DP DP DP HDMI 288-1N626-X10A8 DA.30711.001" that costs $1,986.30 USD when a normal RTX3070 these days costs used below USD 450.00 or new up to USD $750.00

Yes I know that there is no official info about the pad thickness but since this was so common build couple of years ago I'm sure plenty of people have changed them. I will order a collection of different sizes and go from there.
And 3070 is normal 3070. Not "low powered version" Those NVIDIA recommended PSU-wattages are always "for the worst case". If it says 650W then it should work with worst possible 650W bronze rated PSU. While a good quality GOLD-rated PSU will be sufficient at much lower wattage.
If I recall correctly this GPU draws 220W when stock. Now a little less since I undervolted it.
And if you don't believe me, theres plenty of talk about the PO3-620 with 3070 inside on the forum.
But, I will keep you updated when I have the chance to remove cooler from said GPU.
