AN515-57 Audio Services problems.USB gaming headset would cut out completely

For the past couple weeks, I've noticed that my USB gaming headset would cut out completely, with no audio or input. The frequency of audio loss seemed to increase after two weeks. Initially, I was able to temporarily correct it by using the built in windows troubleshooter, which would tell me that my audio services have stopped. After restarting audio services, troubleshooter would tell me that it also disabled audio enhancements.

After ensuring all my drivers are up to date, I've noticed that the issue was persisting, and the audio loss issue isn't going away. I've done a clean install of windows 11, which seemed to initially resolve the issue, but it continues to persist. Can anybody help me figure this one out? I've tried troubleshooting with Microsoft and Intel, but they can't seem to figure it out.

Just a quick update, for anybody who has experienced anything similar recently. It turns out that Windows 11 Version 24H2 in its current state is pretty unstable, and can cause many audio driver issues, as well as other usability issues. I recommend not updating to 24H2, and staying on 23H2, or even 22H2 until the issues are resolved. I realized that my audio issues appeared after updating to 24H2, and had to roll back to 23H2, which has resolved my problem.

Hi, if your headset is wireless with a USB transmitter it may be a Bluetooth paring issue instead of just audio. Try a wired headphone with the 3.5mm audio jack and plug that in the audio port, you should get a popup in Windows "What are you using".

What model headphones are you using as these sorts of problems come from your headphones, use the BT feature of your headphone if your headphones have that feature. In the Nitro AN515-57 laptop all you can do is change the IO board where the USBs are as that could be faulty (which is highly unlikely) as its all coming from your headphones compatibility, consult your headphones manufacturer for further solutions.

Btw and as I’ve used a similar Nitro AN515-56 laptops to the AN515-57 and never ever had USB or Bluetooth connection audio problems, the only thing that I had problems with was with the Bluetooth driver update to a new driver of its Killer AX1650i Wi-Fi/BT card (that your Nitro AN515-57 also has) that only worked with its initial oem Acer BT driver the Intel version 22.40.0.2 Bluetooth driver and could not be upgraded to any other driver as the BT feature would not work, so that is the only problem that I've experienced.

I would contact the headphone manufacturer and get a solution from them or change headphones, I'm using the Sennheiser Momentum 4 Copper headphones and they work great with the AN515-56 and my new Predator PHN16-71 for everything like gaming and absolute superb Hi-Fi sound, just a suggestion for what headphones you should buy. Good luck.

Hello, I'm using a Gamdias Hebe P1A USB wired headset. The USB ports don't seem to be a problem, as my other USB devices seem to be running just fine. I rolled back my realtek audio driver today, but that's also been ineffective as a fix. The headset works just fine when plugged into other devices. when I go into services.msc I can restart windows audio services and the audio services endpoint builder which will work temporarily.

The audio in the Nitro 5 AN515-57 laptop is not only governed by the Realtek audio driver, its also governed by the Intel and NVidia drivers combined which you also have to uninstall and completely reinstall these drivers, if you want to update the audio and fix these sorts of issues, as that is what I though that you did,.

So try that, and use DDU to uninstall the Intel and Nvidia graphics and audio drivers and reinstall them in Safe Mode as per their guide and then install the Realtek audio driver and see if this fixes the problem. Good luck.

I installed DDU, and Uninstalled/reinstalled the nvidia and the intel drivers in safe mode, both for the audio and gpu. I'm still getting the same result, shortly after launching a game, the audio cuts out again.

The laptop must have a faulty audio chip that you need to get a technician to test and see if its faulty and change, as what your laptop is doing should not be happening.

That is very strange, but if it works for your AN515-57 laptops its great! As on my Nitro AN515-56 the audio with the Win-11 version 24H2 update and to its last OS build 26100.3037 works perfectly as your Nitro AN515-57 is a virtual same laptop as my AN515-56, ITS GOT THE same Gen 11 CPU but its got a BETTER RANGE OF RTX gpu's and that is the only difference between these two laptops. But thanks for letting the community know of another solution to this problem.
