Predator PH16-71. C keeps crashing in vide editing. Fix crashing / Troubleshoot and identify issue

Hello! I have an issue with my Predator PH16-71.

My PC keeps crashing in vide editing. Either the black freezes to black for a few seconds, then hops back to the editing i was at. After the freeze everything is working and usable. Except my media display is completely black. I then have to restart the Adobe Premier (25.1 Version)

At times the PC crashes during edit, showing a blue screen with a sad face, and the text ''Your PC ran into a problem, and has to restart'' without further information. This leaves me frustrated and completely in the dark, to where the issue might be lying.

I tried earlier versions. Same issue.

i tried updating BIOS, Graphics drivers etc. - Keeps crashing in video editing.

I have zero faults showing in temperatures, or predators own health checks....

Hi, this 2023 laptop may well be covered under 2 years warranty, I recommend sending it Acer Services or submitting a "Repair under warranty" report online with Acer Support in your country and wait for instructions by e-mail.

Sadly, i just have a 1 year warranty, wich is expired.

The Acer Predator Helios 16 PH16-71 was first released in June 2023, all Acer laptops have 2 years warranty check Acer Support in your country if that expiry date is correct.

As much as i wish it the above to be the case, the warranty is sadly expired as shown here.

This did not work. After some research, i conclude it to be a RAM failure. Upgrading to a new 32gb RAM kit.

It sounds like there might be an issue with power delivery, thermal throttling, or unstable clock speeds when the system is pushed harder. Since Quiet mode reduces power consumption and clock speeds, it could be why games run fine in that mode.

Sometimes, an unstable factory overclock or aggressive boost settings can cause crashes. Use a tool like MSI Afterburner to slightly underclock the GPU and see if it stabilizes.

Go into the Windows power settings and set the "Processor power management" to a maximum of 95-99% to prevent the CPU from hitting its highest turbo frequencies, which can sometimes cause instability.

Run Memory Diagnostic Tests: Sometimes RAM issues can lead to crashes under higher performance modes. Run MemTest86 to check if your memory is stable.
