Nitro 17 is not turning ON, blue light never came on, screen stays blank, power block & cord is new.

I have a Nitro 17. Purchased it as my Christmas present for myself 2023. I used about a dozen times and no gaming. Went to use it about 30 days ago. Sat for close to a year. It wouldn't start. Plugged it in and the blue light never came on. Screen stays blank. The power block and cord are still new condition. I have no pets and live alone.

  • Hi @TooBad007 most likely the battery is shorted, a device that has been turned off for a year as you have mentioned damages the battery chemistry, take the device to an Acer technical service or one that is authorized by Acer so that it can be checked.

    Thanks.. I bought a new power cord and block on Amazon for $20.

    Plugged it in and the charge light came on.

    I let it charge for 1/2 hour and it booted right up. Under 10 seconds. I shut it off and charged it to 100%.

    It's been sitting for a week and still at 100%.
