Yes. I have already performed a complete battery calibration using the Acer Care Center.

Then I suspect either a battery or charger issue as it's still not reaching a full charge with the limiter disabled.

So next time you shut down for an extended period —- like overnight —— keep the charger plugged in. Then see if the beeping goes away on startup.

If it doesn't beep, then try it shutdown for an extended period unplugged. Then see if the beeping returns.

Ok. I will do this test as soon as possible. But I believe that if there is a problem it will be with the charger, because if I turn on the notebook without it being connected to the charger the beeps do not appear.

I've got the same laptop and my PHN16-71 DC_IN port works perfectly and I've never ever had any beeping from the adapter barrel plug not fitting into the laptop properly. What is happening with your PHN16-71 laptop is that its DC-IN port is faulty or the adapter barrel plug is too small and its not making full contact with the laptops DC_IN port hence and why you get the beeps.

Send your laptop to Acer tech support with the adapter and get Acer to either replace the DC_IN port (which they will not do) as they will change the mainboard or they will change the adapter for a new one that makes full contact and works properly. Good luck.

This was exactly my fear. Because there is no Acer support in my state, I would have to send it to another state, which could take weeks to receive my product back and I need my notebook to work, I can't go a single day without it.

If you need your laptop for work and can't do without it, then put up with the beeping and buy a proper and suitable USB-C charger like the SlimQ 330W Power as this USB-C charger that also has a barrel plug to suite the Predator Neo that will work with your Predator Neo as a USB-C charger or normal barrel plug charger, as its as good as the oem adapter of the Neo, so consider this option also as a quick fix. but I would get the DC_IN port changed as its faulty. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

    Thanks for the tip.

But if the problem is the adapter, if I just find a new cable with the correct adapter, should that solve the problem?

Which Predator Neo model do you have, is it the PHN16-71 or 72 model? As you can't change the barrel plug end of your oem Neo adapter, you need to buy a new adapter that is the same as the Acer oem supplied adapter.

That is the exact same Predator Neo laptop model that I'm using and my laptop is perfect and works 100% and never ever had any problems with the adapter or its barrel plug, my adapter is plugged in to the laptop 24/7 also.

Btw and off the subject, you can easily upgrade the PHN16-71 to 64GB RAM @ 2x 32GB DDR5-4800MT/s CL40 type memory from Crucial and also fit the excellent and very quick M.2 SSD drive of either the 1TB, 2TB or 4TB M.2 Samsung 990 Pro NVMe with Heatsink which I've upgraded my PHN16-71 laptop with the ram and M.2 drive, so be aware of this if you want to upgrade your laptop for more capacity RAM and better performance of your laptop drive, as with these upgrades the laptop is absolutely a beast and can handle virtually any editing software's and high end gaming.

I left the notebook turned off but connected to the charger all night and today when I turned it on there was no beep. It seems that the problem is that the battery is not fully charged.

I will do more tests throughout the week and let you know here.

    For now, thanks again.

Could you please show screenshot of the first part of another battery-report.html file?

Update the bios from your old 1.15 version to the new 1,18 as that has some fixes for the gpu and boot to make this laptop perform better also.

Battery's own internal charge sensor/regulator seems to be failing. It's reporting an unstable full charge capacity . Earlier ~74 Whr. Now ~84. You can try manual re-calibration of its sensor by letting it run down unplugged to about 5%, then see if it'll charge back up to 100% or ~84 Whr.

Ok. I just updated the BIOS to version 1.18. Everything went well.

I also saw this difference in battery charge.
I will try to do this procedure that you recommended during the week to see the result.

Hello. I came to update you on the status of my problem that you were trying to help me with.

First of all, I would like to thank the effort and attention of those who tried to help me solve my problem. Thank you.

About the problem: apparently what was causing the "beeps" when starting my notebook was the power supply/charger. I was using the original power supply/charger that came with my notebook. I recently managed to acquire a new power supply/charger and have been using it. Since then, I have not had any "beeps" when starting my notebook for 3 days.

I would like to point out that the original power supply/charger that I was using did not present any visible problems, as it charged the notebook battery normally and I tested it with a multimeter and it indicated that everything was normal.

In conclusion, apparently, everything indicates that the original power supply/charger that came with my notebook was not delivering enough amperage to my notebook, which was generating the "beeps" when starting it, and the new power supply solved the problem (at least for now).
