I updated my tablet to last firmware versione (with dock insert in) and after some days the dock stoppe reading each USB device.

How I can solve this issue?

First, look at your task bar options, look at Notification for Windows Explorer and choose Active icon & notification.

If it doesn't work, connect your USB drive with your micro USB adapter on the tablet.

If it works, you maybe have a hardware problem on your dock ("maybe" means "not sure" Smiley Wink)

If it doesn't work with micro USB, reinstall drivers.

    Hope it works!

the tablet works fine with mini usb adapter.

The problem is in the dock! When I put in an usb device it appears a message "USB not correctly recognized"

Oooops... Hope for you it's not an hardware problem.

Go in configation panel, device manager and see if you have a "!" in front of usb bus controller.

Clean and blast the USB port.

    Test it with another device.

Don't feel bad buddy. I have had my Acer Iconia W510 for a little less than a month. I thought that it was just the external hard drive that I was trying to plug into the docking station, but tonight I got a brand new Thumb drive and it says the same thing "usb device not recognized". It's good to hear I'm not the only one with this problem. Perhaps acer can figure something out for us, or someone. Its a shame because for over $100 for a keyboard dock at least the usb port could work. lol. Hopefully we don't have to trade ours in for a new one. If so I guess that's what it takes.

USB ports are pretty rugged. If anything I would suspect the multiconnector where the W510 connects to the dock.

I'd probably clean that and rock the W510 on it a bit. Is the W510 charging when power is supplied through the dock ? (not the dock battery, the W510 battery.

Is a bit hard for me to test since I do not have a factory dock and they have never released the specs on the dock connector.

I called Acer about the problem and they want me to send both my tablet and my docking station in for repair. This is my only computer that I have. My friend also has the same computer and we tried my docking on his and it is the docking station. I tried explaining that to acer but they insist i send both in. I think they should just let me send my dock in alone for that is what has the issue and i since that was a different purchase than the tablet.
