Hi everybody, please help. I am a regular user and really need to use Google Meet for Meeting and training. But after changing my laptop from Nitro15 to Predator Helios Neo 16, sound always coming out for few seconds then no sound (after that) no matter what device i select as an output. I already try using USB External Sound Card, Airpods, USB C headset… All result is the same. Testing it in the Google Meet Setting (as below picture) also will give the same results.

For me, if this is not solved » I wonder why I upgrade my laptop from Nitro15 to Helios16. I have been struggling with this issue since I bought it last 3 months… Please help me…

Hi, use Edge browser and check that Auto play is not disabled, disable ALL extensions and add-ons in Edge and in Windows allow access to your audio (bottom picture). Check that speakers are set like the red box on the picture below (Don't allow) and test output (the speakers):

Try to troubleshoot the microphone problem first and go to the Settings > System > Sound > Advanced like shown below:

if the above docent work then refresh the audio drivers or reinstall these drivers with a clean install with the drivers from the Acer Drivers and Manuals page for the PHN16-72 and install the Realtek audio, Intel and NVidia graphics oem drivers and let Win-11 update these drivers to the latest drivers for your laptop, as the drivers on the Acer support page for your PHN16-72 all work when the laptop was released by Acer.

To refresh the driver do this > go to Device Manager > Sound, video and game controllers > Realtek audio first then Intel then NVIDIA > right click to Properties > Driver > Update Driver > Browse my computer for drivers > Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer > and then pick the last and most recent dated driver that is in that list, and reinstall that driver, as afterwards your this audio driver will be refreshed and should work. Good luck hope this helps you out as I'm using the PHN16-71 Predator Neo and this does not happen on my laptop microphone or audio as its working perfectly.
