Why does Helios 300 charge drop to 0% and Microsoft AC adapter disappear while gaming on AC power?

I have noticed few things:

  1. When charge goes to 0% the driver for 'Microsoft AC Adpater' disappears in device manger. Rescanning hardware brings this back.
  2. Restarting laptop brings charge back to 95% or above.
  3. I checked battery health and the results were somewhat interesting.

As you can see the battery capacity goes over 100%, even more than 1000% at times.

Is this purely a hardware issue or is there something I can do about it?

Try the power reset: turn off the laptop, unplug the charger, and hold the power button for 15 seconds.

So I was able to fix this myself. I tried two method and don't know which one worked so try both.

    1) To calibrate your battery: Fully charge your battery to 100% first. Once it is fully charged, unplug the charger and use it till you reach critical battery level(below 5%). Once this is complete, let the battery charge back upto 100% again(without turning off the laptop).

    2) Reset your power: Remove the battery from your laptop and press the power key for 30 seconds. After this, put back the battery again and check if the issue persists.

Thanks. I tried two methods along with this. Don't know which one actually solved the issue but this comment was really helpful for that.
