Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57-55D4. Orange light keeps flickering, and Battery Status is broken.
Hello! I have a Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57-55D4 gaming laptop for about 1 and a half years now. It was working just fine two days ago, but now the battery percentage isn't going up when I try charging it and the orange keeps flickering now. I figured it was just an overheating problem, but now it constantly flickering and just ends up turning off when I take off the charging plug and just even power on if it isn't plugged it. The battery status says that it's 100%, but I don't know anymore. I tried upgrading the drivers of the laptop, but nothing worked. I just assume that it's the battery at fault and wanted to check the community before going to a repair shop for a battery replacement.
Seeking any kind of help 🙏, Thank you!

The battery is bad, either the cells died, or the Smart chip disabled the battery. I recommend you replace the battery: Genuine Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55 AN515-57 AN515-58 Laptop Battery KT.0040G.013 | eBay

Hi after 3½ years the battery may be bad, the flashing amber battery LED is indicating a low charge, ignore what that app is stating but generate a formal Windows battery report: Paste this in the command prompt: powercfg /batteryreport and open the report with your Edge browser, right click and select "Print to Microsoft PDF", attach the report to your reply, type @Puraw or use "Quote" when you reply so I will get an alert.

Hello! I created the Battery Report, but all it shows on the "capacity remaining" is blank and nothing on the Battery Usage graph.

Thanks for helping! I was gonna replace the battery either way because it dies way too quickly. Thanks for recommending a replacement! 😁

You are welcome, I know that the Acer battery from e-Bay is very expensive but better buy a high-grade quality product that will last +4 years than replacing every year a cheap Chinese one for one third of the price plus the security of having maximum battery backup. 😉
