Acer Aspire 5 laptop won't connect to the ethernet, tried resetting realtek card
My Acer Aspire 5 laptop will not connect to the ethernet. tired resetting the Realtek card, changing the cables. I still have a WiFi connection but would prefer the ethernet.
This has happened to another older laptop.
Are Realtek ethernet card any good, seems there are a lot of fixes out there on the net!

Hi @RM357 what computer do you have exactly and what operating system?
Even if it is an old card, it should work even if it is not capable of offering the current speeds of the router. Have you checked that the cable is an RJ-45 of standard 5e or 6?
If the cable is correct, have you been able to test it on another computer?
It is also possible that the Ethernet connector on the computer is damaged.
