Hello, the issue is strange and I am not sure if it is a hardware problem which needs to be manually repaired.

The camera stopped working 3 months ago. I have updated its driver, the BIOS and the chipset driver, re-installed windows 11 afresh but still could not solve the problem.

In the Device Manager as shown below, the Camera "ACER FHD User Facing" works "properly", but "FHD User Facing" under System devices returns a Code 10 error. Is it a hardware error or not and what I can do?

Thank you so much for your help.

(NB: model is SF314-512)

The camera in your laptop needs to be checked for a connection problem or the camera is being detected but its lens must be faulty and that is why you are not getting an image. if the software is installed and Device Manager detects and shows the camera then those are the scenarios that might be happening. with the camera. Good luck.

These are the parts for the Swift SF314-512 laptop that you might need to replace for the camera to work

I believe the entry in System Devices is the USB port the camera sits on, the entry in Cameras is the camera itself. The error message is being generated by the USB port, so maybe removing that device from Device Manager, then a reboot to force a reinstall will fix it.

Hello there, thanks for the feedback. Indeed I tried also to remove and reinstall the driver but the issue persists. Thanks anyway.
