Have only had a new Acer Laptop for a couple months now .. I have Windows 11 Browser.. I just recently was Notified of an Update to 24H2 which I downloaded.. Which having done so I believe is the Reason for my sudden lower Volume.. Raising the Volume in settings doesn't seem to help.. Thoughts & Opinions Appreciated, Cheers Thanks

See if the installed DTS-X Ultra sound settings and its equalizer has not affected the sound volume of your laptop, if no settings on the DTS-X Ultra increases volume then install FXSound Enhancer as this is a free sound enhancer that has many presets and enhances sound excellently and efficiently, I'm using it on my Nitro laptop and it works great with especially my over the ear noise cancelling Hi-Fi headphones listening to music, also, don't expect Hi-Fi sound from your laptop speakers except if you use a Hi-Fi pair of headphones 😀. Good luck.

    Hi, run the Audio Troubleshooter:

Check the volume bar and reset the sound devices:

IMO this is not a 24H2 upgrade issue but either caused by your playback apps or a system file, go online and paste these commands in the Command Prompt opened as administrator: Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth and press Enter, after completion paste this command: SFC /scannow and that should end with: "…did not find any integrity violations", repeat the SFC command till you see this.
