Aspire 4730Z hangs on Window 7 Ultimate bit

I just install fresh Window 7 Ultimate 64 bit to 4730Z.  It has 4GB RAM and T3400 procressor. For normal web page browsing or word procressing, it works fine.  When I am using utorrent or Bittorrent and in heavy downloading, the Window will  frozen and need to unplug reboot.  It is keeping on repeat the same behavior unless I am not using uTorrent or Bittorrent in heavy downloading.  Sometime it will hang under watching video too.  If I am using KMplayer, fast forward could cause pause (frozen) in video but not in audio, but VLC player works better. I would like to ask if the computer cold not handle Window 7 Ultimste 64 bit processing or I need to downgrade to Home premium version or Vista Ultimate.   If I am switching to orginal Vista 32 bit OS came with the computer, it works fine without any problem since day one.

Thanks in advance for any useful input.

    Hello mwb928!

The T3400 is a processor primarily designed for everyday computing (browsing, email, word processing etc). Using "heavy downloading" & high definition video will cause the problems you describe.

It has nothing to do with the version of Windows installed, I'm afraid. You will need a more powerful machine to continue the things you are doing. Try to do one thing at a time on your laptop!

    Hi finlux,

Thanks for your information.  Even the Microsoft comparability software said I could use Window 7 PRo but actually is not.  I will downgrade to Window 7 home or vista 64 bits.   Never trust big corcoration, they all looking for money.

    Thanks

    Hi mwb928

Yes, you're right! Big corporations definitely are all looking for money!

Downgrading to Windows 7 Home Premium will have no effect on your processing power, but if it is what you wish, then so be it.

Try not to downgrade to Vista though - it is a more "heavy" OS. Windows 7 is lighter & speedier.

    Good Luck
