Brigtness buttons F5 and F6 doesnt seems to work. Tried standalone button and also ShiftF5/F6, AltF5/F6 and contrilF5/F6 too. Nothing seems to work. Can you please help. How can I resolve it. My laptop is running with max brightness and I'm getting troubled with it. Kindly help, if there is any solution to it.

Had same problem. Go to Device Manager

    Display adapters

I had Microsoft basic display adapter plus the Nvidia rtx4060gpu

Microsoft display adapter said not working but was correct driver.

    Uninstalled basic adapter.

When display comes back go into display adapters and click check for hardware changes.

The AMD Radeon (TM) 780M adapter was installed and now brightness controls work.

Hi, turn off Adaptive Brightness, to see the option (Change brightness based on content) click on the arrow down at the right of Brightness.

Brightness is also managed in Power Mode and battery saver, use Best Performance Power Mode and turn off the battery saver in Power & Battery settings. Use the power adapter when you are gaming and keep the battery 100% charged.

To fix the brightness issue , use the FN + F5/F6 keys to adjust brightness. Check the power options in the Control Panel to ensure brightness settings are not overridden by power-saving features. Disable adaptive brightness through Power Options > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings, and update display drivers from the Acer support website. Finally, try restarting your laptop to resolve the issue.
