Acer DX4850 lookup will not accept SNID or Serial Number:

Hi, I have a Acer DX4850 and I simply cannot get the Acer lookup to detect the SNID or THE System Serail Number, What is going on with that?Also when I am typing the entire input box' is whited out!

Hello, this is a 2011 legacy desktop that is completely phased out, no longer supported by Acer. 😑

Acer only keeps the S/N and SNID database current for systems that might still be in warranty, then purges after that is no longer a possibility. Just use the model number, DX4850 in this case. As Puraw says though, that particular model is old enough they have removed it almost entirely, only showing the Acer Updater utility for Windows 7 on it's support page.

The Acer Updater cannot be run due to Windows 7 iso having networking turned off. Thanks for writing back about this.
