Took out the 3050, exhaust fan, and CPU cooler. Holy cow these things are loud, especially the GPU. Plus the CPU cooler is just plain bad, you will know this especially if you have been playing Helldivers 2 lately.
The exhaust was Noctua NF-A9 PMW, not much explaining needed there. The CPU cooler is a Noctua NH-U9S. I found both of these on the Acer forums in other discussions about the Orion 3000. The cpu cooler is a little more complicated, but between the YouTube guides and everything else, it should be easy, even for first timers. The only thing you really need to know is that you NEED four M3 12 mm screws to screw the first little mounting arms. No, you do not need to remove mobo, I don’t believe you can anyways, and also why bother.
The GPU, I went for the rtx 4060 ti 16gb. It is a superb 1080p card, and uses very low power, only about 35w more than the 3050 that came with the PC. Mine is a PNY verto dual fan, and it is very quiet, I’m pleased with it. And yes, I did order a device for supporting the card and preventing sag.
All in all, I think this is a great upgrade path, and is a good way to learn more about PC parts
