Hello, so i have a helios 300 2019. The laptop was working perfectly fine. After I repasted and cleaned all the dust whenever i try to play a game (like warcraft reforged) that put a loud on the laptop it play for a few minutes and then the laptop turn off completely and does not take power again from the charger unless I remove the charger from electricity completely and reconnected again. I forgot to say that I disconnected the battery a long time ago and was working purely on the charger.

I did a hard reset where unplugged the two ram slots and the battey for 10 to 15 min but that did nothing.

Even downloaded a fresh windows 11 but that did not help as well.

I can use the laptop for hours and nothing happen but once I start to play a game it shutdown like this.

I tried to run a couple of games like commandos 2 and AOE 2 those kind of games i can play for hours nothing happens.

You need to have a battery in this laptop as you must have blown a chip in the main power rail due to either shortening something out when you took the thermal module out or your laptop overheard and fried a chip in the power rail. Try the startup troubleshooting steps from the PDF I’ve included below for the Predator Helios PH315-52 which is the 2019 model, and see if it will fix your laptop from turning off, also, do another hard reset bu also disconnect the RTC/BIOS battery and short its plug +&- pins to reset CMOS if that doesn't work, then you need to take your laptop to a technician and get them to fix the power rail. Good luck.

Check the temperature of the laptop to see if you are not overheating.

Thank you so much for your fast replay. I will try the steps and hopefully that will fix it.

The GPU fan was faulty and replaced the 2 fans.

Can you tell me how to disconnect the RTC/Bios battery and short its plug +&- pins?

And what is the power rail and how can it be fix ?
