There is no options for fan control in my Acer Sense, I downgraded to Windows 10 because i got a new 2 TB SSD, and i installed all the drivers and updates, but acer sense is not working. Cant control fan speed or optimize battery life.

    What computer do you have? Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like xxxxx-xxx-xxxx.

    @CatyFoxt

    AcerSense app is designed for Windows 11 only. Windows 10 does not have any extensions for the app to work.

    Oh thanks so much @AnhEZ28! Do you know any alternatives for fan control?

    Which specific SFX14 model do you have? There have been at least 5 different base models, in both Intel and AMD flavors, through the last few years. The newer ones don't support Windows 10, since the chipset manufacturers don't provide drivers for the old OS for the new designs.

    OK, so the 13th gen Intel based system from last year. Windows 10 isn't supported on that model, which likely explains why you are seeing the issue. Why did you downgrade it to Windows 10 instead of running Windows 11?

    @billsey So the 500GB SSD that comes with the laptop wasn't enough for me, my boyfriend bought me a 2TB Western Digital Blue SSD, and Windows 11 was using 60% of my RAM, so we tought that downgrading is a good choice and im not regretting it right now.

    IIRC you should have 16GB of memory, and with that I wouldn't expect Windows itself to use 60%. You likely had a bunch of other stuff running, especially if you hadn't removed any of the included trials and such. Windows 11 is much better at handling memory than Windows 10 was, but does end up using about 2GB more when running in vanilla mode. I'd suggest going back to Windows 11 so you have available drivers for all the pieces of your machine. 2TB is great for storage and 16GB is also decent for memory…
