I attempted to post a new topic but don't see it anywhere. How is one supposed to post?

    Hi MichaelV,

Allow me to refer you to Elizabeth's post just a few messages down:

    http://community.acer.com/t5/Notebooks-Netbooks/Hi-I-can-t-find-my-previous-posts/m-p/16643/highlight/true#M3959

    Hope that helps.

Only my comment in this thread appears, not my new topic.

    Hi MichaelV,

Your profile indicates that you have posted two messages which are both in this thread.

If you wish to create a new message (thread), select the appropriate board and near the top, click "New Message".

Thanks. I've now posted on what appears to be the appropriate board of http://community.acer.com. What's the relationship between that and https://www.facebook.com/Acer/app_384701878271850 and how can one post there{(which is where I was trying to post when I posted my original comment in this thread}?

I see my new post now appears below, though it wasn't on this page when my posted my previous comment; what I asked there though is still relevant. I'd have like to have edited the comment so that this could could have appeared as an extra line. Is editing possible?

    Hi MichaelV

The Facebook page for Acer is simply a social media portal leading to this forum.  The list of posts you see below their title and graphics were not made on Facebook. They are posts that were made on this forum.  For user convenience, you are able to click any of the board titles on the Facebook page and you'll be taken to that board on the forum.

So what you have posted here, will at some point appear in that list on Facebook.

Is it possible to edit posts/comments?

After a certain amount of time, users are unable to edit. However if you would like message me privately and tell me which message, and what edit you want to make, I can do that for you.

I'm told my email address belongs to another member (probably because I registered twice without realizing it). I'm unable to respond to a reply received from Acer-Tommy (Acer Technician).

I realize this is not the appropriate place to post but a mail explaining the problem to Moderator@Community.Acer.com (which I thought would work) was rejected.

    Hi MichaelV,

I am sorry to hear of the continuing problems you are experiencing. It appears you have been posting directly from Facebook, is that correct?

You issue will be sent to the tech team so we can get this working for you.

    Thanks!

No. I posted on  https://community.acer.com/t5/facebookforums/facebooksingletopicpage/facebook-app/384701878271850/message-uid/16641?isOnSearchTab=true&searchText=Posting+here which doesn't appear to be Facebook since my Firefox tab has the green a logo rather than Fb's blue f.

I received the reply you sent to my email address. The "click here." link leads to My Settings page but I don't understand what to do next. I clicked the My Settings link onthe right which takes me to Change Email Address. Is it possible for me to change my address and then change it back later? As for the 4 steps starting with "Log on to Acer Community", I've explained I can't login/on.

I've been waiting for a reply to my above post but after not receiving any response I clicked here in the link but now it only takes me to https://community.acer.com/t5/user/userloginpage?dest_url=http%3A%2F%2Fcommunity.acer.com%2Ft5%2Fuser%2Fmyprofilepage%2Ftab%2Fuser-subscriptions%253Aemail-subscriptions Sign In to Acer Community and I'm unable to change my address. This is all extremely frustrating since I posted here originally because of problems uploading photos.

    Hello MichaelV,

You can access your full Acer Community profile from this link:

    http://community.acer.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/170217

If you need to change any personal data or preferences, use the My Settings link near the top right.

    Hope that helps

In the Change Email Address form I found my original email address. Typingt it in the box below and clicking the Change button results in "Sorry. The two addreses don't match". Typing a new address and repeating it in the box below also results in "Sorry. The two email addresses don't match."

Despite apparently not accepting my attempts to change, I've received verifications and a have been able to reply to the response sent to me 15 October.
