Acer X1328wi projector colour issues with very limited options

Hi,

We bought an Acer X1328wi projector for our boardroom recently. We are very happy with the image quality and lumens, but the colors are not the same as on the PC (from where we project).

I expected to be able to tweak most settings to achieve the correct color on the projector screen, but most of the options are greyed out and not adjustable.

Surely these settings must be adjustable on the X1328wi? Here are some screenshots. All the options in the red blocks are not adjustable:

Specifically, it will be great to be able to adjust the color temperate (pic 1) and/or the Individual Color Management (pic 2).

Any help will be much appreciated.

Regards

Jaco

Is ECO mode turned off in management menu?

    Hi Jack.

Yes ECO Mode is definitely off.

Must I try to do a factory reset of some sorts and see if that helps?

    Regards

After ECO mode off is confirmed, has all power to projector been cut, then re-powered and re-booted?

    Hi Jack,

The projector has been rebooted a few times, but power not cut. I will pull the plug out physically tomorrow morning and let you know if it fixed the problem. Thanks for your help so far, appreciate it!

    Kind Regards

    Hi Jack,

At last, I had time again to focus on our problem with the projector. We cut all power to the projector, re-powered and re-booted, but no change at all in terms of what can be accessed on the projector's settings menus. Is the next step now to send it back to Acer for an assessment? Or is there still something else we can do to try and fix the problem ourselves?

    Kind Regards

If possible and the vendor's RMA period hasn't expired yet, I instead suggest trying to return it for a refund or exchange on another model or brand that might either have more color options or might be a better fit with your PC's own color capabilities. Trying to color match the two different screen technologies is a subjective task dependent on not only individual screen drivers but also the PC's own GPU output to the projector and its own screen. Lots of variables with lots of trial & error to make the two screen colors/hues/brightness/etc seem to be about the same to your own eyeballs..

    @Jaco84

Try to reset the projector setting.
