Why no sound from Nitro XF270M3biiph monitor when connected via HDMI to laptop? Does it lack speaker

I recently bought a new Acer monitor (Acer Nitro XF270M3biiph), but there’s no sound when I connect it to my laptop via HDMI. I’ve tried everything, including setting the monitor (XF270M3) as the default sound device. While the sound signal bar shows activity, no sound comes from the monitor. Does it lack built-in speakers? Please help. Thank you!

    Hello,

    This monitor is not shipped with built-in speakers. Could you give me the part number (P/N) and the first ten characters of the serial number (S/N) to confirm this?
