Can thermal pads be reinstalled after being removed from RAM? Or can they not be glued back on effectively? Are they suitable for modules with components on both sides of the board? Does the service manual say anything about this?

Can you provide a service manual for the PH18-72?

We can't provide you with a full service guide for the Predator Helios PH18-72 laptop as its only available to Ace ranked members of the forum, but we can assists you with whatever you need. For thermal pads, also have a look at the Thermal Grizzly range of thermal pads as they are of a high quality also and would be suitable for this high end laptop. Hope this helps you out.

For ram upgrades Acer suggests a max of 32GB 2x 16GB DD%-5600MT/s CL46 but Crucial suggests a different max total of 64GB, so look here at Crucial PH18-72 laptops suggested ram upgrade, as Crucial suggests a max of 64GB 2x 32GB DDR5-5600 • CL=46 • Non-ECC • SODIMM • 262-pins • 1.1V • 2Rx8 based • PC5-44800 and they even have a 98GB ram kit for DDR5-5600MT/s CL46 that you have a choice to upgrade, as I can't guarantee that the 98GB kit of ram will work in your PH18-72 laptop, so you upgrade at your own risk.

Below is a list of all the thermal pads used in the PH18-72 laptop including the also the ram and M.2 SSD foils that Acer wraps the ram and M.2 drives with to disperse heat.

@StevenGen thank you for your answer. Please tell me more:

    1. Does the service manual say anything about the possibility of disassembling and reusing the 47.QMBN7.001 (or they are singe use only)?
    2. Is there a different thermal pad for double-sided RAM?

That ram foil part #: 47.QMBN7.001 can be reused and they can be used with double sided ram, another way of insulation the ram and M.2 SSD is to just cover the top of these modules with a high quality thermal pad.

@StevenGen thank you - one more thing:

how to mount these radiators on double-sided RAM? Does the manual say anything about it? I'm asking because I see a copper field in the illustrations - so it looks like the stickers are not symmetrical?

I've already confirmed that 64GB works in my reply above. Exactly what additional confirmation to you need?
